Borage oil is one of the few sources of gamma-linolenic acid. Gamma-linolenic acid is a precursor to prostaglandins, action-specific biomolecules that regulate many important functions in cells. Borage oil also contains the essential fatty acid, linoleic acid (Omega-6)
